As the row over the BPSC exam escalates, RJD's Tejaswi Yadav has accused Prashant Kishor and his newly formed political outfit of "misleading" the aspirants.

Students protesting the BPSC exam were dispersed with the use of water cannons on Sunday. The protests turned violent, resulting in the police resorting to lathi charge to disperse the crowds.

In a dig towards the Jan Suraaj Party, the RJD leader also accused Kishor and his party of acting like Nitish Kumar's "B-Team".

India then beat Korea 3-1 before eking out a narrow 2-1 win over arch-rivals Pakistan.

In a video message on Sunday, the RJD deputy said - "This movement was started by students. The nearly two week-long dharna at Gardani Bagh, where I also had gone recently, had caused the government to tremble. At this moment, came some elements acting as the government's B team."

The Bihar opposition leader further stated that the aspirants were "mislead" into marching towards Gandhi Maidan, were they faced water cannons and lathi charge.

"The protesters were misled into marching towards Gandhi Maidan, despite warnings from the administration against doing so. And, when the time to face lathi charge and water cannons came, those who had offered to lead the protests, chose to run away," said Tejaswi Yadav.

Prashant Kishor, who vowed support to students and aspirants, was not present at the protest at the time clashes erupted. His absence resulted in an FIR being filed against him and Jan Suraaj Party President Manoj Bharti, among others.

BPSC Exam Row

Aspirants have been protesting for a past week, calling on the Bihar Public Service Commission to cancel the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (CCE), 2024, due to an alleged paper leak.

BPSC has dismissed the allegations and stated that the test was disrupted as part of a "conspiracy" to get the exam cancelled.

The commission has decided to hold re-examination for over 10,000 candidates who were assigned Bapu Pariksha Parisar, an examination centre where hundreds had boycotted the tests alleging that question papers had been "leaked".
